v Abstract Author: Kateřina Hartmannová Title: Case study of physiotherapeutical treatment of a patient with total knee replacement diagnosis Objectives: Objectives of the bachleor thesis is processing of physiotherapeutical treatment of a patient with total knee replacement of the right knee joint. At the same time it contains a theoretical processing of the diagnosis, that means gonarthrosis and the total knee replacement. Methods: All of the methods used in the special part of the thesis are based on the bachleor degree program of FTVS. Results: The therapeutic intervention resulted in partial fullfilment of the set goals and improvement of the patient's condition in several parameters. Keywords: gonarthrosis, total knee replacement, arthroplasty, knee joint, physiotherapy, rehabilitation
Rehabilitation after the shoulder joint arthroplasty
Trnková, Martina ; Jalovcová, Miroslava (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Title: Rehabilitation after the shoulder joint arthroplasty Objectives: Confirmation of the hypothesis that there is a correlation between success of the surgery and the type of indication, age of the patient and the dominance of the operated upper extremity. At the end is the comparation of our achievements with foreign studies. Method: The clinical part was processed using standardized questionnaire with 34 patients from the rehabilitation clinic Medicentrum at Praha. This part compares the data 3 months after total shoulder arthroplasty with preoperative condition obtained restrospective at the same time. Results: The results show influence of the indications, age of the patient and dominance of the operated upper extremity on the successfulness after total shoulder arthroplasty. Key words: arthroplasty, shoulder joint, rehabilitation
Case Study of a Patient after Partial Hip Replacement
Abdulmalik, Abdullaziz Abdulmalik Ali ; Maršáková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Lassner, Martin (referee)
"Case Study of a Patient after Partial Hip Replacement" The following Bachelor thesis case study took place in Orthopedic Surgery department of the Central Military Hospital in Prague, Czech Republic. This thesis has been divided in to two section. The first section is a generally theoretical section that describes the lower limb, anatomy, biomechanics, kinesiology and a basic general outlook on the femoral bone fractures and intervention. The second section which is the practical part of this thesis is focused on the analyses of a patient post a partial hip replacement surgery that's a consequence of a proximal femoral bone fracture. The section contains physiotherapeutic examinations that relate to the patient's condition and help clearly understand her overall clinical picture. The main goals of therapy approach was to reduce the patient's pain, restore function of the hip and the lower extremity in general to its optimal condition to enable the patient to resume activities of daily living. There was a positive outcome from the therapies applied. The pain around the hip that the patient used to feel decreased. Greater active and passive ranges of motion in the hip joint were achieved as well. The muscle tonus in the lower extremity also improved significantly. Off course the patient hasn't...
Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after total knee replacement
Šimůnková, Tereza ; Martínek, Milan (advisor) ; Sohrová, Jana (referee)
Title of the thesis: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after total knee replacement Author: Tereza Šimůnková Head of the thesis: Mgr. Milan Martínek Year of defense: 2021 Objectives: The purpose of my bachelor thesis is to compose a case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after total knee replacement due to knee osteoarthritis during her stay at CLPA. Also, to present the theoretical foundation for the practical part of the thesis which focuses on the knee joint, knee osteoarthritis, conservative and surgical treatment, total knee replacement and following rehabilitation. Method: This bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part the topics of knee joint, knee osteoarthritis, total knee replacement and following rehabilitation are discussed. The practical part contains entry and leaving examination of a patient, goals and plans for rehabilitation and description of therapeutic units. The latter part is based on bachelor practice at CLPA in May 2020. Results: The physiotherapeutic methods used were effective. The physical condition of the patient improved.
A case study of physiotherapeutic care of a patient after wrist arthroplasty.
Nemec, Štěpán ; Opatrná Novotná, Irena (advisor) ; Křížková, Štěpánka (referee)
Title: A case study of physiotherapeutic care of a patient after wrist arthroplasty. Objectives: The goal of this study was to describe the course of therapy of and to summarize the current knowledge of wrist arthroplasty. The participant of the study was a patient with typical physical ailments after wrist arthroplasty, which we aimed to decrease and compensate using methods of physical therapy. Methods: The thesis is divided into two parts. The general part describes the anatomy and kinesiology of the wrist joint. It also overviews the types and features of wrist endoprotheses, operational approaches, possible complications and therapeutical options. The special part deals with a case study of physiotherapeutic care of a patient after wrist arthroplasty, which consists of an initial and final kinesiological examination, description of individual therapies and assessment of the outcome of therapy. Results: We succeeded in the relaxation of antalgic shoulder position, increasing of range of motion and muscle strenght, stretching of shortened muscles, improving of fine motor skills and partially in correcting the movement stereotype of right arm abduction. We did not succeed in decreasing pins and needles sensation in the second and third finger. Conclusion: The present study accomplished all its...

Šašková, Vlasta ; Maršáková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Hamouzová, Dita (referee)
Title: The Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient after total hip replacement. Objectives: The main aim of this work was to summarize theoretical and practical knowledge about total hip replacement and to process a case study of a patient with this diagnosis. Methods: This work consists of two main parts - general and special part. The general part contains information about hip joint anatomy and kinesiology, coxarthrosis, congenital hip dysplasia, total hip replacement and rehabilitation after total hip replacement. A special part is processed in the form of a case study of a patient after implantation of total hip replacement. It includes anamnesis, entry kinesiological examination, goals of short-term and long-term therapeutic plan, description of therapeutic units, outcome kinesiological examination and a final evaluation of the effect of therapy. Results: The goals of the short-term therapeutic plan were fulfilled. During the therapy, soft tissues were relaxed, the muscle tone of the hypertonic muscles was reduced, the range of motion in the joints of the lower limbs increased, the joint play restored, the weakened muscles strengthened, the shortened muscles stretched and the gait improved. Keywords: total hip replacement, arthroplasty, hip joint, coxarthrosis, physiotherapy, case study
